Tuned In

This scene started out as one thing, with just one character, and turned into something else entirely with all these characters you see here. I just never know where an artwork may go, and it sometimes goes to places I never would have originally thought of; I love when that happens. The interesting thing about this scene, or one of them at least, is that the entire scene is lit only by emissive materials from the TV and the lightbulbs in the two lamps in the scene (one lamp is behind the “camera”). Also, the scene on the TV is one of my earlier artworks entitled Marvelous. I was going to create a new MCU-inspired scene for the TV screen, but that scene was perfect for this as it projected the perfect amount of light for the scene.

I rendered this scene in Poser 12 Superfly using absolutely no traditional lights. The scene is completely lit up by the emissive materials of the TV screen mainly with a little additional light from the two floor lamps with emissive lightbulbs in them (one lamp is not seen). The setting I used for this scene was not made for Superfly, so I completely overhauled it with new materials that looked better in Superfly. In postwork, all I did was use one Photoshop action to play around with the colors and contrast a little then minimized the effects of that action to make them subtle. That was it. This is almost a raw render!
