I worked literally MONTHS on this character trying to get her face just right. It also took me several attempts to get her skin textures right with me having to overhaul her entire body set at least three times. Then came the makeup. I’ve never designed makeup quite like this before. It’s high fashion makeup the likes of which I’ve never attempted before, but it came out looking better than I could have hoped. I even created a new “liquid metallic” lip shader with lip-liner for Joanna, so she’d look even more like my makeup references. I also hand-painted all of her eyebrows which was no easy task, but they came out looking very smooth and also better than I had thought they would. I actually impressed myself!
