End of Summer WIPs
I’m back to work on my art projects including my commercial projects for Renderosity. Here is a look of what I currently have in the pipeline and a few hints of what is to come next.
First up, is a character for La Femme that I recently finished work on and have submitted to Renderosity. I’m hopeful that she will be released into the marketplace soon. Her name is Olivia. Her looks were inspired by, but not copied from, a modern-day actress with a rather unique face. The Olivia set includes a set of makeup options with pastel eyeshadow without eyeliner and another set with the winged eyeliner. She also has two sets of lip colors, one soft matte and another metallic with lip liner. Also included are eye color options and various eyelash options. I have even included a variety of shader-based nail polish options for both Superfly and Firefly.
Since I finished Olivia, I have been working on some new clothing texture sets. Although I’ve been bouncing between different projects, I did manage to finish this one last night. This is a texture set for the RPublishing Work and Leisure Series Farmer outfits for both La Femme and L’Homme. You can see the main promo for this set (which I finished this morning) at right also featuring my Rosita character. Included in this set are mix and match textures for all of the outfit parts (shirt, overalls, boots, and hat). Each clothing texture also has a “dirty, worked-in” version. So now you can show your farmer off before and after they work the fields. I plan to submit this set to Renderosity for testing either later today or tomorrow.
This set is for “Time Traveler for La Femme” by ShaaraMuse3D which is a dynamic outfit made up of three pieces. The boots shown are a separate product called Steampunk Boots by RPublishing but I plan to make a bonus set of complimentary textures/materials for them. I still have a lot of work to do on this set before it’s even near complete. So far, I’ve only really finished one texture set for it (the one you see at left). I need to create at least five or six variations of this set before I call it done. So far, I think I’ve got the basics down for about four or five sets. I am rather proud of the material shaders I’ve created for this set so far. The blouse is a translucent silk (light can shine through it) while the pants and skirt are thick velvet. The metallic edging is shiny on all pieces and distinct from the other shaders used on each material. I’m not sure how to describe the shader for the corset and boots. It’s kind of a satin-y leather.
I have many more ideas for new commercial projects, but next I’ll be working on some new artworks for a while. After that, I’ll probably either work on a new character for L’Homme or more clothing texture sets for various LF and LH clothing models. I might also create a hair shader set that will work on most hair models. It was also recently suggested to me to create a makeup merchant resource for La Femme so that’s a possibility too. I’ll keep you posted. Until next time!
