A Moment in the Park

Yesterday was the last day of summer and the start of my favorite seasons, autumn! To celebrate, I started work on this autumn inspired artwork. It actually took only a very short time to render which is amazing considering all the little leaves in the scene both in the foreground and background. It turned out far better than I could have hoped and really got me in the mood for more autumn/fall inspired artworks. I’m now working on another! I just have to point out the apple prop in this scene. That’s my favorite part of autumn next to the weather; fresh orchard apples and apple cider! You can probably expect to see more scenes of apples and autumn from me soon.

This scene was rendered with depth of field in Superfly. I actually used the default Poser 11 lights for this because they looked just fine for what I wanted! I also added a sky dome and made it into an ambient light. In postwork, wow I did a lot of postwork to alter the colors of this scene. I used four Photoshop actions and then a host of adjustment layers and so forth to get the final autumn colors and contrast you see in the final artwork. I honestly lost track of everything that I did to get the final look.
